Hey mate,

how do you manage to find the songs for NTW? im looking through the files and i can find it. alternatively, do you have a download link for this soundtrack? (since its really good work music and I would prefer to have it on WMP)

if you are searching in the sound.pack, do the following: search for a 'ntw' folder, in here, you find the same map structure as in the main folder. So after you went into the ntw folder, you should be able to find the music folder. What is important to remember, is that all the ETW music is also in the game. So make sure you extract the ntw music and not the etw music.

xD I'm afraid I understand everything except for sound.pack. where do you find it and how do you open it? also, do i need a converter for these sound files?

here we go: google for 'napoleon total war pack file manager'. The first link should be one of the twcenter forums. Click on the link and download the pack file manager. Then open the pack file manager, and click in menu bar, open (or something similar). Then go to your steamfolder\steamapps\common\n­apoleon total war\data, and open the sound.pack located in that data folder. Then follow the steps given earlier.

Hopefully you understand everything, if not you know what to do =)

Napoleon Total War is probably one of the most underrated games every made. Playing this game is like (and goes well with) sipping good cognac. It has so much class and beauty both audio and visually. It has by far one of the finest soundtracks in the history of gaming.

On top of all of that, it allows you to explore the "What if" scenarios of Napoleon's campaigns.

When I downloaded a mod for NTW, it somehow deleted my music files. Verifying the game cash is not working. Does anyone know how I can put the music files in manualy?

I believe what we need to keep this game alive is a user-friendly way to play as any nation on any campaign map, as well as creating our own scenarios (I'm not familiar with any of the other total war games, but don't a few of them have map creators?).

I seriously felt the same way and it took me a while to get into Empire and Napoleon, but once I discovered just how addictive the naval combat is, I can't stop playing. You also have to learn a different style of warfare with the land battles. It still has melee combat, it just comes second and can be very gratifying when your foe is weakened enough and you order your units to fix bayonets and charge.

Playing these two along with Shogun 2 makes me ever more hungry for when Rome 2 comes out.
