For your listening pleasure I present you with Ifukube-San's three part sonata for violin and piano. I had the privledge of watching a live performance of this sonata by the wonderful pianist Reiko Yamada and company a few years ago, and I'm thrilled to present it to you all today.

This is the third movement of the violin sonata, called "Allegro vivance." For you Godzilla fans out there, the motif of this piece (vivance) was used in the 1968 film Destroy All Monsters. It was used during the scene when the heroes destory the Kilaak mid-control device in their moon base with a ray gun that catches fire. Cool stuff. Also, for more info on Ifukube-San's later works from the 1980s, check out this link: http://www.akiraifukube.org/music_1980s.htm
