Transformers Parody - Bumblebee is a BUG!!

My brother and I made Transformers parodies in the 80's when we were kids. Recently the Transfomers movie came out. I liked it--my brother hated it. One thing he hated was that Bumblebee was a Camaro and not a Volkswagon. So he put this video together of Bumblebee adamantly stating that he is a BUG! Not a Camaro..

You Honestly think it's a coincidence that the original car was a Volkswagon? And they called him Bumblebee because he was yellow? Originally all the transformers had 2 or more colorschemes. I Owned a yellow "CliffJumper" red "Bumblbee" Even though he was red, he was still "Bumblebee". Go ahead and Google it.

He COULD have just said that it was VW's decision to keep their Beetle out of the movie, but nope. He had to go ahead and say the bug was stupid for a handful of reasons that don't make a lick of sense. He couldn't imagine a bug going 200 MPH? You're not supposed to imagine that these things are really giant robots! That's the point, Mikey!

I drive a crappy little Kia Spectra, and I've seen a TON of camaros since '07. So far only ONE actually drove faster than me. ;P *lol*

@NATED0Go33 - correct, Brawl would be a better name since in the G2 cartoons, his alternate form is a tank. Devastator is all of the combaticons put together.

I guess Michael Bay retained the name for the recall factor since the other G1 Transformers had also retained thier own names but had gotten a similar alternate form to their cartoon predecessors. Only Bumblebee (and by extension Sound Wave and Megatron) did not retain their old cartoon alternate forms.

@MrSucky101 WRONG Michael Bay had no intention of using the VW bug. He said it reminded him too much of Herbie the Love Bug. You can see the interview on the DVD of the first Transformer movie. I think it's ironic though, that, even though he didn't want Bumblebee to look like Herbie, he made him ACT like Herbie. He doesn't talk in the beginning, he plays love songs to get Sam & Mikela together. And makes him do all sorts of things that has nothing to do with being a Transformer.

@BustUpBots If Michael Bay wants cooler vehicles to be the Autobots that's fine, but he shouldn't have used the same names from G1 because his version has nothing to do with the original. Also, making Bumblebee a sports car makes him just like all the other Autobots, now there's nothing unique about him to make him stand out. I also think it's real funny that Bay didn't want the VW because it reminded him of Herbie the Love bug, but he was ok giving that Camaro-bot Herbie's personality.

Here we have another moron that's ok with calling a giant robot that transforms into a cool-ass camaro a GAY NAME like "Bumblebee" I don't care that Michael bay didn't use the VW bug, but it is STUPID to call anyother giant robot "Bumblebee" it makes no god damn SENSE. I've seriously HAD IT with people saying the same things. We KNOW about the legal issues surrounding the VW bug, and the fact that Michael Bay didn't like it in the first place because it reminds him of Herbie the Love bug. For once I want to here why fans of his movies are ok with calling a cool giant alien robot that turns into a Camaro, Bumblebee? Why? Theres no insects on Cybertron. Why is his friggin name Bumblebee? At least in g1, when he gets the VW bug disguise it kinda made SENSE.

Well, that, and even IF they wanted to make him a VW Bug, Legal issues would arise. VW didn't want to be associated with "War Toys." They tried it with Alternators, and it didn't work.
