The greatest tenor of all time,... Taken from Live-Konzert 1968 in Modena
Caro mio ben,
credimi almen,
senza di te
languisce il cor.
Il tuo fedel
sospira ognor.
Cessa, crudel,
tanto rigor!
-------------------------------
My dear beloved,
believe me at least,
without you
my heart languishes.
Your faithful one
always sighs;
cease, cruel one,
so much punishment!
This is not Pavarotti's voice..

Con tanta tenerezza canta "caro mio ben" verso il fine! Bellissimo! Bravo Pavarotti e bravo anche Giordani!

There´s a mistake in the lyric. IS: tanto rigor ( not ) tanto vigor. He sings the right word.

@Hopes1401 you can find it in the book called "24 Italian Art Songs and Arias"

Has anyone else noticed that the key signature of the score shown and the key that Pavarotti is singing in do not match up? The score is in Eb Major and Pavarotti is singing in F Major. Great song sung by the most amazing tenor ever though! :-)

Does anybody know where I can find the whole music notes for this song I currently have choir but were not allowed to take the notes home?

I'm fairly certain that he did not sing this in 1968. This was on his "Ave Maria" album that was realesed on June 23, 2008. If I'm wrong, he was singing horribly this day. His voice did not sound like that in '68. His voice in the recording sounds like it was from the mid 70's to early 80's.
