Develop your grassroots group or non-profit organization. Author and organizational consultant Paul Deslauriers describes how organizational energy follows the same "rules" as electromagnetic energy and quantum physics.

The specific characteristics and behaviors of energy translate into human social behaviors and operational values that you can build into the culture of your group. Paul describes the six primary characteristics that all high functioning groups embrace: Intention/Alignment, Relational/Holistic, Diversity/Balance, Possibility/Uncertainty, Open/Flowing, Synergy/Love.

Paul shows how all group interactions actually take place on three separate levels: Personal, Structural and Inter-personal. He has developed several surveys (contained in the GRASROUTE GUIDE) that allow you to see how the principles of energy apply to the three levels of interaction that take place in your group. Analyzing your group in this holistic way allows you to clearly see where your group's energy gets fueled or drained.

Paul then shows how an organizational structure that embraces specific communication and feedback practices can become self-correcting and self-sustaining. Operating consistently in this "High Energy Zone", where everyone is aligned with core goals and operational values, and respectful communication flows freely, a grassroots group can achieve phenomenal results.

Paul details a variety of practices that you as a group facilitator can establish in your group to help build and maintain a positive collective consciousness and enhance creativity.

Paul reveals the importance of extending your group's focus into the community through the marketing practice of "Branding" and offers a variety of tips on how to do that effectively.

In the video Paul explains how in today's declining economy funding sources are increasingly skewing their support towards groups who participate in regional coalitions and offers support on how to identify and negotiate with like minded groups in your area to create a coalition.
