Robert Kennedy in Indianapolis on April 4th, 1968. Indianapolis was the only major city in America that did not riot that night.

"Even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, until, in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom through the awful grace of God."

  • Robert Kennedy had the ability to put things in their place. He gave this speech to try to stop any violence or riots that could come from the Martin King Assassination because he knew that any riots that would come after hearing that news would only make things more difficult that violence after violence only creates more violence & to stop the pattern of violence you have to stop violence & people need to be able to live together.

  • I know you got an a for this project this is very nice, are there any leaders today like these will there ever be a leader again who can touch our hearts and souls like these guys did President obama can heed the call and I pray he adds to our peace and not our turmoil. I am glad I got to live in a time when these guys came through it was just a remarkable time so much hope.
