Its comical, its hplessly impractical and very dangerous to the inexperienced. Why do i want one so badly then?

50 miles? Wow that is awesome BFD. I think I did one mile on my brother's PF. His was just a bit big for me as well. Lost my foot on the down pedal. Great conversation piece though. Everyone stopping and watching. :-)

Plan on spending $3000.00 IF you can find a good one.

Too bad the bike is slightly too large for the rider. He loses the lower pedal whenever he makes a turn. A properly fitting bike would allow power to be applied at all times, and losing pedal contact makes it harder to do this. As a result, this rider would have a hard time riding safely under real-world situations (in traffic, up & down hills, for longer distances).

Yes, it is true, this bike is too large for me. My favorite size is my 56" wheel. This was a loaner while that one got repaired.
I did learn to ride this one quite safely. Actually did a 50 mile ride from Davis to Folsom on it back in 2004.
