That's a palace compared to some of the shacks my mom said she lived in in WV back in the 30's-40's. She told me of her uncle Willard who lived deep in the holler. She said no matter when you visited him, even totally out of the blue, Willard would be clean shaven and have a suit on. She said he was always prepared for company. I'll never forget that story. Except she told it better than me. I miss the older folks. My Uncle in Georgia and Arizona is all I have left of this amazing generation.

@bshaun21 loretta lynn does have a replica of her childhood the replica is on her plantation property in hurricane mills tennassee but the original house is still there in butcher hollow kentucky

Isn't that just the replica made up for the museum tours and what not ?? I thought the actual house in butchers holler burnt down ??
