I agree. I only played recent ff games and thought the whole franchise was stupid and overated until I recently played ff9. I wouldnt want a remake but I think if the vision and creativity from the 'Squaresoft' era came back and the creatively infertile ppl responsible for this kind of cheesy dialogue, generic characters, unisnspired art style and stale gameplay were fired that would be great

actually i always like the work they do with final fantasy games voices and this one obviously its nothing compared to the japanese but i think they did a great job

@Darkcoremaster you have no comment below, you only have one comment starting with "DO NOT", the HUGE map im talking about is about an hour or two away after beating bahamut, and your comment about how most ff fans are welfare leechers, lol where did you get that? and your statement is really dumb though, FFXIII still is a classic game definatly worth the money.

@OmgItsNikoZ read further before you start calling people dumb, then you see when i wrote that i was in whitewood, now you're the one that looks dumb. by yesterday i beat bahamut an landed in jurassic park. still looking for the HUGE map. and don't bullshit me that progress is slow because i actually work for my money unlike most FF players who leech off welfare and play all day

I wonder if you have even played the game, maybe you were to dumb and you didnt reach chapter 11, after that you have a HUGE map, and when i say HUGE like 20 times the size of calm lands of FFX bunch of sidequests and hunting to do there... i agree its linear in the first 15 hours but after that it gets very open, the game is obviously in the top 3 of all FFs....

DO NOT buy this one. this one is far far worse than FF12 which was already a shithole game. i've been a big FF fan for years but after FF10 the whole thing went downhill. FF13 description: NO SHOPS/NO TOWNS/ NO NPC'S/ NO WORLD MAP/ NO NOTHING. this is Sad. gameplay is VERY linear. only 1 way to walk to, forward. NO SIDEQUESTS/MINIGAMES. sure, nice graph's, nice voice acting, nice movies. but thats really it people. just an interactive movie. this game made me cry, so horrible

wait till game comes out and they don't have to lip sync and only worry about timing.

also, unless you speak Japanese at a either fluent/native level, there's no way for us who don't speak Japanese to really decide which is better.

I've seen it hundreds of times where a dub was horrible [ok.. not horrible, but amateurish], but those who didn't speak the language thought the dub was really good, and sometimes better than original.
