The kitties like the sound. It sounds kind of like the way they communicate, so they curl their tails around and "talk". If they didn't like it they would leave the room.
@Alamarification you obviously don't get the concept of walking away from something annoying (which is something that cats are known to do if they're annoyed... clearly they are not). also, cats wag their tails for every reason imaginable, not just agitation. my cat twitches her tail when she's pissed, when she's sleeping and when i pet her (usually whilst purring in satisfaction, not annoyance). have you ever heard of something called "logic"? that's what i used to figure all of this out.
I'm sorry but you shouldn't actually do this. They twitch their tales when they are agitated, not when they are inquisitive . The two cats in this video are rubbing their necks, not their "heads" on things around them. Suggesting they are actually marking their territory in that room. This is to hopefully scare off whatever is hurting their ears.
NO they're not. You're completely misreading their body language. They're not fighting. Cats don't rub their faces/heads against objects when distressed.. these cats are talking TO her, probably wanting to know how she's making a sound similar to how they communicate with each other! I play too and my cats don't react whatsoever, other than coming over to listen, so please don't make blanket statements such as 'cats hate the sound of the harmonica'. Perhaps it's all in how you play? ;) lol
They are in pain. You're "logic" is piercing their ears

Oh come on folks, lighten up. If the cats were annoyed or upset over the sound, they would stay out of the room.
