@Pumpkinlolz001 To use some psychology of abusive families: Lord Ozai valued his children as an extension of himself; he favored Azula over Zuko, because she was like him, but she always knew the tables could turn in an instant (remember her reaction when he declared himself Phoenix King, leaving her behind: "You can't treat me like Zuko!"). Long story short, he nurtured Azula's evil, not Azula herself.
