Dr. Robert Miller from Floridia using an Osteo Wrap to recreate a buccal wall succesfully. The osteowrap is on the outside creating the new wall and then a collagen membrane is on the inside helping to get primary closure.

The Osteo Wrap is 100% Human Cortical Bone demineralized through a proprietary process that makes the graft flexible while maintaining allograft integrity. It can be easily sized in the surgical room with scapel or scissors, it will hold sutures or can be tacked into place.

  • I notice that u used 2 osteo wraps , one at 1st against which u condensed bone in the socket , then u condensed some bone outside then u placed anoher osteowrap wtz the aim of condesing bone outside & placing another osteo wrap why didn't u simply make a laterally displaced flap to close the defect over the 1stly placed osteowrap ?? i need really to understand

  • Hello,

I apologize my response has been delayed. There is only one oste wrap being used, which is used in the begging, after bone material is placed, tension free closure can not be achieved and is vital for the Osteo Wrap since it is deminralized bone it will break down to quickly if left exposed so a simple membrane is used at the end to ensure primary closure. I hope I answered your question. Please feel free to ask anything else.
