  • what are LMA's and how do you fix them ? i think my b16a1 has the same prob :(

  • Search google for "lost motion assembly" and enter the team integra link

The only fix is to replace them, preferably with itr ones has they have different design than b16a1 ones and also can handle high lift cams.

  • As a matter effect i've solved the noise problem last saturday by replacing the lma's, so i guess the old lma's were worned out

  • @filipedua.....Is that a 2nd gen or did you just swap valve covers? The 1st gen are generally the ones w/ the problem, cause they learned from their first and corrected the lma issue with the second gens. Both my 1st gen's have bad lma's but everyone i know w/ sir II, b16a2 or b16a3 never expierenced this. How much $ did you pay a piece?

  • I have the same problem, did the noise go away after the car warmed up? was it worse on colder days? thanks

  • i took mine apert was abit if a pain and fixed them up and put thin washer shim under the small spring to make it not stick eney more works like a charm of if u want u can buy a set of spring type lma's from a h22 and use the washer in side ur old lma's as a spacer insted of paying the crazy price for the ones with spacer lol minor moding and it works gooda tiny

  • the old school lma's have 2 springs one and a big strong one and a washer inside the washer causes the problem its polishes its self and tends to stick when it hits oil

  • 500€ in lma`S

  • thanks bro.

  • not really ,the sound you hear is just the clearance on the springs.

so it`s not affecting performance or durability of the engine.

if you replace them all you`ll accomplish is: no more ticking noise and less of a "vtec impact" engine revs over more smoothley into "vtec mode"

  • if you dont change the lma will it affect performance or the engine in any way.

  • hah a classic case off worn outn LMA`s :)

or: "VTEC TICK" as we like to call it.

i`m gonna save this to favorites, so if i ever have to explain to someone what vtec tick is, i just show em this vid :D
