it was about 1 km to the top.. stairs all the way. there were a few trails off to the side that went along the mountain tops of the nearby range. those trails went into the 10-20 km, but there wasn't enough sunlight for me to do much then.

That's how it was for me going up Fuji (it was 30F and drizzling/sleeting) I had on a pair of shorts under jeans, two t-shirts, and a light rain jacket and I was fine but veryone else was wearing these crazy ski suits and big puffer outfits. It looked ridic. How far was the trek up that mountain?

ha! yeah, they thought it was pretty cold, but I just powered up that mountain. so, i felt pretty warm. im sure if i stayed still for a while the cold might touch me...
