@alexanderb99 if you pour out the water the beans soaked in the only difference will be that if will be a purplish color instead of black, but it won't effect taste. btw if you use this recipe I suggest adding a green bell pepper chopped up with the onions it's all it's missing :)

Are u sure its okay to use the same "soaking water" that you used to soak the beans overnight? Will it affect the taste at all if I just pour out that old water and replace it with fresh water (inside the pressure cooker)?

I enjoyed the video. I think its important to remember that there is no wrong way, cooking is about your personal taste and palete. Im Cuban and yes my family makes this recepie different but theres no LAW in cooking when you combine ingredients only technique is important(ie: searing, saute, time and temp, ect.). Black beans vary by region within cuba itself ans it is so all around the world with every recepie. How boring if it were not this way!
