@SuperLuigirules1 I have told you that the forests-lungs is a public misconception and explained why. There is no need to ask a scientist if you understand the metamorphosis the carbon experiences in the forest. Yet, the disputed question, "Which rainforest produces half of the world's oxygen?", was asked from a reputed scientist on WikiAnswers. It is worth for poor people who lack education and believe Google.

@valtih1978 Your the idiot as it's a known fact that 20% of the worlds oxygen comes from the Amazon a "Rainforest" Tree's filter the air and remove Carbon it's a proven fact you were obviously never taught this at school. For the love of god visit a natural history museum! I understand that dead plants rot down over millions of years to form oil, gas.. the basic forms of carbon energy. We are all carbon based but whilst they are alive they clean our air. Google it, Call up a scientist.

Tree's teraformed this planet into an inhabitable place over millions of years. During the process the tree uses the Carbon to make Sugar (or food) which it survives on and has no use for the 02 so releases it into the air, Think of it as a giant filter such as found in a fish tank which filters out the carbon using and leaves 02. All life on earth is carbon based so when it dies it will release carbon in it's basic form. Nasa are looking at teraforming other planets to make them habitable.

@valtih1978 But again your disputing known sceince that trees Convert CO2 into 02. In that case please explain how the Amazon Produces 20% of the worlds CO2. I think it is you who are the ignorant one and rabbles on like a politician instead of making a clear point.

@SuperLuigirules1 I use word 'ignorance' because you demonstrate it in every post. By disregarding the context, you give my phrases absolutely different meaning and prove what you like. The life on the Planet is pretty serious thing for kidding.

Since the net oxygen production is 0, trees clean air by preventing soil erosion and absorbing dust and dangerous gases in cities (not CO2). But the main reason not to cut forest is capitalist consumption-based growth. The planet will not survive it.

@valtih1978 I was simply disproving your claim that Tree's don't convert Co2 in 02. You really love to use the term Ignorance when your the one who doesn't belive that the Amazon or Boral Forests clean the air we breath, At no point have a I said this is the only part of the Carbon Cycle on earth, But it is one of the single biggest factors. We are never going to agree on this matter clearly. So I'm going to agree to disagree with you.

@SuperLuigirules1 I have pointed out that the photosynthesis is only one half of the Carbon cycle. By ignoring the other, CnHm + O2 -> CO2 + H2O, you try to prove that the whole balance is not zero or oxygen is produced. What if I follow your reason to claim that trees consume O2 rather than produce it and emit CO2? Hardly, your ignorance is a good basis for reassuring those who see the whole picture of the Nature.
