Ladas like these r basically a russian made fiat, but ladas had longer valve opening duration.

See the valve angle in cylinder head?

if u knew ur engines u would notice what potential for gas flow it has.

As standard they have a decent size twin choke carb aswell.

For the year of the car the bhp was better than most of the same engine size.

Im not a lada enthusiast, but do like the look of them.
