The winner of the 2010 J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines "Leave No 'Stone Unturned" contest

To raise awareness of Histiocytosis, Sarah Urban Powers and friends will go to great heights - like Half Dome in Yosemite!

Histiocytosis is a blood disease that is caused by an excess of white blood cells called histiocytes. The histiocytes cluster together and can attack the skin, bones, lung, liver, spleen, gums, ears, eyes, and/or the central nervous system. In some cases, the disease can be life-threatening.

It is approximated that histiocytosis affects 1 in 200,000 children born each year in the United States.

So, for enjoying a glass of our J. Lohr Estates Riverstone Chardonnay, and for literally "Leaving No 'Stone Unturned" in your pursuit to raise awareness of this disease, we are honored to donate $500 to the Histiocytosis Association of America.
