Exploding Lighters in Slow Motion

Ever since I saw the Mythbusters episode on exploding lighters, I have been meaning to pick up a few of these disposable cigarette lighters to shoot at. I tried gluing/taping the gas release button down, but the flame just went right out on the lighter when it was shot, so I stole the method I remember seeing YouTuber "taofledermaus" use whereby a lit candle is placed nearby the lighter. So after stealing that idea, me and my buddy had some fun with the fireballs off of these lighters. I still have quite a few, any ideas for cool stuff to do with them?

That was awsome! But by now you already know I'm a pyro. I can give you a little tip to help...use a small container filled with gas instead of a candle, it won't go out in the wind and is less likely to be blown out by the lighters when they get hit. If you want an even bigger fireball tape 3-4 lighters together ( I buy them in bulk at Walmart ). Have fun!

@CasioEXF1Freak I bought a 50-pack display case of these online so I was definitely planning to try to chain some hits together and see how far I can get the fire to travel, but I'll try taping them together as well! By a small container filled with gas, do you mean like protective walls for the flame so that it won't get blown out? Thanks for the advice!

@FuzzyDicePimp Yeah, thats basically it, plus its gas so it makes the flame a bit harder to put out. Nowadays I'll put 2 small gas pots out there to ensure a nice fireball. It's kind of funny, but I've had lighters blow out a gas pot before...then i'm just sitting there looking at it going "WTF??"

@CasioEXF1Freak Haha, figures that they'd somehow blow out one of those just to mess you up. I'll have to experiment a bit with what I've got to figure out what works best.
