Sept. 10, 2009, The University of Wyoming dedicated an International Center and named it after Dick Cheney. Several people thought this was a joke nationwide - we only wish it was. The center, along with an endowment for student scholarships, was bought and paid for with Halliburton stock profits. Nearly 200 people showed up to protest the dedication. The Cheney supports who held signs were far outnumbered by those protesting the dedication. When the decision was announced, it was controversial. The controversy re-ignited in light of recent revelations about detainee abuses by the CIA. The planned dedication received nationwide press coverage and mentions on the Conan O'Brien-hosted Tonight Show and the Colbert Report.
Cheney is an alumnus of the University of Wyoming and received five draft deferments for his UW attendance during the Vietnam War.

This is the Institution in which students can learn how to make arrangement to snatch people off the street of foreign countries and how to get around the constitution's ban on torture by having other puppet states to torture people for you.
