In this special episode, we take a closer look at the biggest match in recent memory, EG.Marn vs. Daigo Umehara from Season's Beatings V: Redemption in Columbus, Ohio. Marn made history, eliminating Daigo from the tournament, making this the first time in years that Daigo did not make it to the finals of a tournament he was in.




We brought Marn in to talk about his win as well as to clear up some potential drama that surrounded the win, since he received a lot of backlash from the community because of his post-win actions.

I find it amusing people are so quick to jump on Marn for having a moment of victory after beating such an iconic figure, when he's, oh, a massive iconic figure.

The how and why doesn't matter.

He played the game, beat one of the best and had what would probably be a great and rare moment in his SF playing days. I'd say that earned him a little trash talk. He seems nice enough in all other videos to not judge him on a single moment of hyper-active glory.

At 11:05 when Marn talks about blocking the uppercut and then comboing after, he says that they both would have been left with 15%.

I don't know why he would have combo'd when Marn's ultra meeter was full and Ruy didn't have much life left. I think that with a full ultra meter Dudley would have easily killed off Ruy.

While I see he was backpedalling, but the fact is, chances are, Marn and Daigo know each other better than the critics know either of them. If Daigo is cool about it, nobody elses opinion matters.
