The structure of a village, abandoned in the 19th century,
provides the basis for the arrangement of the strings. 13 house
ruins on a surface of 350m x 100m are linked through strings up
to 120m long. The constant coastal wind produces sustainded
sounds. Thus, the Deserted Village became a large outdoor,
public instrument for the duration of a symposium,
which all were welcome to play.
