SHE CAN SING GO HEAD GRANY

She wrote GOING UPSIDE OVER YOUR HEAD for JIMMY REED.
She was inthe early seventies his drummer, too.
I did a tribute to JImmy Reed - an animated short film - quite different and only 74 seconds long.
I would like to invite you to watch it. Just click on my name.
Hope we meet us on my youtube site.
Greetings from Germany

The real deal for sure! Just a few seconds of her, and she's got me. Great voice and feel!!!

Johnnie Mae was like a blues godmother to me and to a lot of people. Grew up in Alabama and played drums and wrote songs for Jimmy Reed. She would say what she would say. Didn't need a lot of teeth to say it!

Going to Maxwell street or "JewTown" was like a special event or going to the mall for our family. Ofcourse the only thing that mattered was the bargin you could get with the little money that you had. Afterwards there was the issue of takin home whatever you came for in the car that you drove there in. Don't forget the polish that you got before you left. I really miss it all. What an experience to pass down to my children and grandchildren!
