Violence in South Africa is a problem for whites and blacks, at every level of society.

Hospitals deal with a constant flow of victims. One man lies on a pillow soaked in blood. Under his bed - a pool of blood. Jessie Duarta, Minister of Safety and Security in the Gauteng Province, claims that the present government is the first to admit to a crime problem. Everyone blames high crime rates on high unemployment. In prison, a young white man says he will turn to crime again if he fails to get a job when he is freed. Police patrol the streets always with a gun in their hand. It is the only way to survive. White middle class families live in high security compounds. There children can play safely in neat gardens behind airy, red brick houses. Professor Eddie Wolff, a specialist in trauma, warns that if the government does not deal effectively with crime, will witness the advent of vigilante groups. People will take the law into their own hands and South Africa will enter another phase of 'traumatisation'

I disagree with Whites using non-Whites for labor. However what's done is done. I still don't want to see Whites living in this manner. It's not hypocritical because I'm White.

in 1973 there where about 1 million whites in mozambique, in 74 there where almost none, what hppend there, well the blacks took over, my father lived in moza. until 74, and he said and rightly so that once south arica give the rule to blacks the country would turn into another poor crime african country, and he was right, they left the minute they took over leaving everything behind, homes, cars, citys etc... everything.look at movuies of moca before 74, paradise, we didnt had apartheid

I am from Slovakia and I was in South Africa. I met a man who is from South Africa and now in the summer I was there the first time in my life. On my own eyes I did not saw the horror I did not felt afraid of this country,because I was with the man who protected me like an eye in the head but many times he talked about crime and problems with which the daily struggle people in this country. Crime is everywhere, but in addition, South Africa whites dont work.
