Archaeological Park volunteers talk "archaeologyspeak," :) a special condensed language . . . and specifically about their work on a new excavation project on the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun, September 2, 2011.
Donations are needed for the Archaeological Park Nonprofit Foundation.
The mission of the project is to excavate four pyramids (two of which are larger than the Great Pyramid in Egypt) and one temple, as well as the Ravne underground tunnel labyrinth that goes for tens, perhaps hundreds, of kilometers.
For some reason, the labyrinth was filled with a loose mixture of sand and small river rocks, either by the culture that created the tunnels or by a subsequent culture. There are millions of tons of material to remove, and all the work must be done by hand.
The nonprofit needs light-weight wheelbarrows, carts, picks, fiberglass shovels, volunteers, and much much more.

The mini-DV tape had several hundred glitches on it, so the interviews were 99% incomprehensible. I edited out the scratchy noises, and the rest is archaeological history. :)
