We put the cobalt on the dyno after installing our 3" catless downpipe and did some testing. it resulted in 255whp compared to our stock baseline of 240whp

  • Did you guys tune after installing the downpipe and also what other mods are there if any?

    Thanks

  • @brv49 that percentage is lost in the drivetrain...parasitic loss.

  • OMG!! i want this DP!! is there a military discount??? lol

  • with exhaust and a tune you'll be hitin close to 300hp nice...

  • GM lst the cars as 260/260 (crank HP) but most cobalt's seem to dyno in the 235-240 WHP range w/ 245-255 W torque.

GM understated its peformance numbers honestly imo. My friends RL stock only dyno'd @ 224 WHP and 253 WHP w/ GM Tune.

  • how much hp is 240 whp then? isn't there a percentage that is lost on the dyno?

  • Anyone know of a guide i could use to install this beast. it should be arriving today.

  • nice numbers. 15whp for just the downpipe is not bad at all. maybe with an intake and exhaust too will bring you to 270whp or more.

    btw, nice ss/tc bro. =)

  • nice... I have this downpipe on my cobalt ss/tc
