No the writers do that because they are too stupid and unimaginative to create a plausible diversion and delay. The austrians were masters at misunderstandings and mistaken identities. Pity men don't duel anymore. Would be great to see him run ted through. :-))

@SuperLadiblu that did make me laugh about this movie like 3 times he wanted to tell her something and he either gets interrupted or he cant tell her on the phone but in person. They always do that in the movies. Its annoying lol
