General McChrystal declared more troops are needed in Afghanistan. Meanwhile this administration's backpedaled on its pledge to the region and is drag -- dragging its heels on the general's request. what must our young men and women in uniform think? how much their loved ones back home feel? the administration's waiting game torpedoes troop morale and begs mission failure. congress needs to hear directly from general McChrystal to ensure political motivations in Washington don't override the needs of our commanders and our troops. for America, ignoring the top general's request for more troops is not the way to run and win a war.
I disagree - If U.S. leaves these terrorists within these countries alone - they will re-unite as another large terrorist cell - they will continue to attack U.S. Civilian popuation at every chance they get in the future if they are not stopped at the root source ! I believe the war is preventing terrorism all over the globe thanks to U.K. , U.S. Marines and Army ! ! !
I believe the war has mostly been won, aside from each allied soldier killed or hurt
