Great job! You are a very talented public speaker. I'm sure you are only exponentially better three years later. Hope to see you heading up a political campaign soon!

Its tough, and I understand what you mean. However, I do belive every american has the right to any sort of gun they can get their hands on. They already have the ability too, and if they are gonna commit a crime with that gun, then they will be dealt with for that, but making the actual ownership of a gun in any way a crime is just the same as making the ownership of anything that could be potentially used to commit a crime a crime.

Again the constitution was written when weapons were, at best, one shot weapons that took a while to reload. Not fully or semi automatic assault rifles. The amendment is outdated. There's no logical reason to oppose gun regulation. All people seem to be able bring up is a piece of paper written by men who had no idea what we would become. Where is the line drawn on what arms you can bear? Assault rifles? Grenades? Nukes? Where do the constitution's allowances end and who decides?
-
No, but I do believe in the constitution.

Do you really believe citizens of this country, armed or not could possibly stand up to the might of the US Military? Our right to bear arms was created during a time when the peak of weapons technology was the musket and cannon. You can't claim to be a responsible gun owner without knowing something about moderation. There's no civilian need for any sort assault rifle whatsoever. Guns need to be regulated, not banned. But some need to be taken out of civilian hands.

Actually, I believe the ACLU violates the first amendment by using taxpayers money to file lawsuits banning the optional prayer in schools. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof".
-
0:52 You do not need to be a member to the ACLU to believe in the Constitution and the bill of rights, and there is no reason that a politician should be pressured into joining it to prove that he believes in the constitution and the bill of rights. Although the ACLU's principals stand behind the our rights, often enough, their actions do not. They use taxpayer's money to support one translation of the Constitution & bill of rights that not all of the taxpayers believe in.

Great job - awesome!
thx for that content.
with best regards from switzerland.
4:12 "A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." This amendment was made so that American citizens have basic power over the government cannot infringe on our rights by physically stopping us from doing something that is within our rights. Do you really want a society where the only people with guns are the government and those who get them illigaly.

misterkewlz,
this scene is from a MOVIE...the american president. it isn't meant to be a political statement, just reciting the lines from a memorable scene in a classic political romance film.
