This was a visit to my Grandfather Richard Fitzgerald's home town of Carrigtwohill. My parents and I visited our cousins there and in Midleton as well. They were so nice to us, and we enjoyed our visit there very much. These scenes were all taken in Carraigtwohill and Cobh, in Co. Cork, Ireland.
@mrjohndevlin That is great, Karen! Your Dad has been wonderful with exchanging E-mails and pictures with me. I'm glad I got to meet him, when I was there in 1988. I am sorry I didn't get a video picture of him then. You and I share common ancestry. My Grandpa Richard F. and your Great Grandpa John F. were brothers. My e-mail is kjfitzgerald@prodigy.net. God bless- and thanks! -KJF

@mrjohndevlin --- I'm very thankful you found this. That was a very special time for all of us when we got to visit with Kit and Paddy in 1988. Paddy was my father Gerald's first cousin. I remember they had three children, John, Mary, and Kathleen. Which one of them is one of your parents? Blessings - Kevin F.

I'm so glad you found this video. My parents and I had such a wonderful time visiting with everyone. My cousins were so nice to us. I hope I can visit again someday and see how everyone looks now in person and see how the town has changed. They were just building the bypass highway when we were visiting.
God bless, - Kevin F.
