I met Hobo Jim in Palmer about five years ago when I was there on a contract job. I told him I was from Arkansas and he gave me five of his CDs. He's so funny and wonderful!

I was in Alaska twice - 3 months each time in 2004 and 2005 - and the BEST memory i have from there is a pub in Soldodtna called BJs and Hobo Jim playing. unreal. That man is a legend. He did an amazing cover of "Forever Young" by Bob Dylan.

Hobo Jim came to Kodiak, AK and I was able to catch his show April 3, 08. What a friggin showman!!!!! Anyone who has the opportunity to see him should.

Hobo Jim is the official Alaska Balladeer... I have been watching Hobo Jim sing in Soldotna Alaska since I was 18, over 20 years being a fan of Hobo Jim. He is a very awesome performer, I have had him on the table before me & had drinks with him when he came in for sound checks before many gigs. I'm friends with BJ's bar's owner, where he performed. I don't live in Alaska now & I miss summers with Hobo Jim... Give 'em Hell Jim!!

I'm SO glad I had the chance to see him last summer and get these little video snippets. He really is a great performer - even sick witht he flu - this guy rocked The Box!
I can't WAIT to get back up there and see Hobo again! I'd love to buy the man a drink.
