  • I'm gonna try this recipe right now. I just went to the store to buy the jars and I have the water ready to sterilize them. I am sure it will be wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

  • Respond to this video...I will let Sheila know and we look forward to hearing how you made out! :)

  • Dear Brian and Sheila,

I just had a mulberry jam made by my friend today and it is the best jam I've ever had. I asked her for the recipe and it s your video! I watched all three parts (very uncharacteristic of me to spend close to 30 minutes to study a recipe). Her jam is that good! I'm looking forward to trying out your method and hopefully I can make a great jam!! There is just something so special about homemade jam with all natural, wholesome ingredients. Thanks for all your tips!

  • Sheila will be thrilled to think people are still watching to learn how to make her special jam. Thanks to you and all the other kind people that have posted comments.

  • Thank you so much for your video! Loved it. I tried making a jam recipe from the Joy cookbook and yours. I was overwhelmed with the idea of making jam after reading Joy's recipe. Thank God I found your recipe! I have to say that yours was easier and tasted much better. A couple of questions...

    1) What do you think of "plumping" the jam? (allowing the jam to sit overnight so that the fruit doesn't rise to the top? 2) What size jars did you use? What's the largest batch of jam U can make at once?

  • hey yo tambien me gusta hacer canning este ya es mi 2 ano que hago esto esta muy bien verdad

  • you are nice to mom.. nice.

  • thank you sheila, will be trying your recipe here in the u.k. one point do you use salted or unsalted butter, many thanks

  • I'm going to make this today, I can't wait!! =)Thank you so much for making this video and Mrs. Black for sharing her recipe!! Lots of love....

  • @brianpfs It came out great. I only made a small batch of about two cups of strawberries, which when came out to about 1 pint of jam. The only thing that didn't turn out the way I expected was that the jar didn't seal. I didn't really want to boil them and seal them, since I plan on eating this first batch pretty soon, but I thought that just using the hot jam, jar and lids would be enough. No worries though, the jam is wonderful. Again, thank you for sharing.

  • I love her!!

  • Thank you for your videos. I love strawberry preserves and Smuckers is now at $3.29 for an 18oz jar in the Boston area, so this will save money. I have some strawberries in the garden so I will try your receipe with them.
