Battlefield Fortress - History Behind Super Smash Bros. Brawl

While most of the Subspace Emissary is standard platformer fare, some levels such as Jungle and Battlefield Fortress do reference the video game the debuting characters come from, albeit very loosely.

The next video is gonna be the final Fire Emblem History Behind Brawl video.

A lot of the similarities you pointed out are just standard "medieval castle" tropes. Even the original Dragon Warrior had locked doors, bodies of water, and throne rooms with carpet and pillars. But I could see how it might be some reference to Fire Emblem anyway...

I find it to be no coincidence for this stage to be the first one with locked doors though.
