Last 2 LTTE Air Crafts Gunned Down by SLAF

LTTE Air Tigers launched presumably their last attack on Colombo at 9:15PM on February 20, 2009. Two LTTE air crafts tried to bomb Sri Lanka Air Force HQ at Colombo but the bomb fell about 500m off target. LTTE have lost both of the Zlin Z 43 Air Crafts and 2 Air Tiger pilots during the attack. According to military analysts, there are no Air Crafts left in the Air Tiger fleet.

Only the initial missions of newly bought MIGs deployed foreign pilots. And It's a standard procedure to invoke flares during low-flying missions over hostile territory.
