I've been a Tom Seaver fan for most of my life. And that's why I'm so revolted by this musical "tribute." The lyrics, shoehorned into an iconic baseball song, are labored, insipid dribble. And the drippy way she sings it makes me want to violently upchuck the semi-digested peanuts and cracker jack in my stomach.

I love the Mets.
I hate the Yankees.
I saw Seaver's last game at Shea before they traded him.
I went to his return game when they traded back for him.
