First time at the range with this rifle. Trying to sight it in @ 100 yards. Just as I started "putting it on the paper" I ran out of ammo :(

  • you know you dont have to pull the thing in the back, back. you can just slide open the bolt and its ready to fire

  • @TristanGoins

Before you say anything, try doing what I am doing...

Then you will understand why am I doing it (he-he)

  • You need a new bolt I can see

  • @cobraz22

    You see wrong ;)

  • use better grade ammo it will do your gun a favor surpluse is shit.

  • surplus rulez!

any 65 year old ammo (which is what i had there) whether surplus or commercial will not be reliable.

Berdan primed ammo has shelf life of 50 years. any of my 70's and 80's russian, yugo, polish, bulgarian and chinese surplus ammo yet to misfire...

commercial, boxer primed ammo has a shelf life of only 20 years, and it is more expensive (like double the price)

  • how much is the Sniper?

  • 0.o i just learned something new today. he's not putting the safety on (which is a pain anyways) he's taking the spring pressure off the front half of the bolt making it easier to rotate upwards (which is otherwise a pain while sitting or looking down the scope)! i will never fire my rifle the same again, thank you =P

  • Good groups at least, just a matter of time before it's bulleyes galore. So I take it this is one of those repro-jobs from J&G Sales or something like that? Or is this an all original sniper, markings and all? I'm thinking about getting a repro, but only if it's capable of shooting like yours, because that's really good at 100 yards scoped.

  • @ok131583

being a mosin user myself i see why you do that ;D

  • i own a mosin m1939/44, its is my favorite rifle and it still has the soviet hammer and sickle imprinted on it. i am having a ejection issue though, after about 5 rounds, the bolt jams against the port about halfway up, then you have to hit it real hard to pull the bolt back and eject the bullet. do you know what the problem is? btw i am wondering, is the nagant in this video a 91/30? i like 91/30s a lot.

  • Vassili Zaitsev's rifle, :)

  • goodness people. the rear end of the bolt IS the saftey, but the reason he pulls it back is because it makes cocking much easier which is especially usefull when you dont have full levereage, i.e. sitting.

  • @TristanGoins You pull the knob back and rotate it to the left. Disconnects the bolt from the trigger.

  • @Texn99 but i dont understand how.
