Drill Now? (pushback)

Drill Here, Drill Now is a cute little slogan that the Oil Lobby has come up with and gotten our Republican Politicians to parrot.

The problem is that the oil companies already have 40 million acres of oil drilling rights and they are just sitting on it counting their money. Why should we give them more land to hoard when we know damn well they don't want to flood the market and make oil cheaper.

That might be my next video. Examining the definition of "American Oil" and "foreign oil" and the reality that it is all really EXXON oil. Countries have nothing to do with it.

Why is everyone so freaked out that we import most of our oil but they don't seem to care that we import just about everything else too? Why is the transfer of wealth from America to China for everything in our lives OK but when it comes to oil we need to stay American?

The issue right now is will drilling here in a NEW spot (when we have tons of area designated for drilling already that is not being used) bring down the price of gas here? The answer is NO. So why is it being touted as the answer to our gas prices? Too bad the gas station companies in Florida didn't agree to run Obama's ad. I think we agree. They already have oil they could provide from these existing places so that "prices will go down."

The question I want people asking is: if they aren't bringing this existing untapped oil they already have to the market to lower prices then why would they bring new oil from new areas?

This was vary clear yes drill in America there is over 68 million acres on top of 5 times as much on Gull Island known and owned by petroleum companies since 1970. 5 years in Iraq and the Bechtel, Halliburton and many more privatizes companies have been hording the millions of gallons right into United State each day. If big oil really is holding on to extra reserves in lands they have already leased, then I have a perfect plan to prove it. Open up ANWR and OCS to drilling, and when the oil companies decide not drill then you will have proven your point.

If you are right then they don't want to drill anyway and you will have made a huge political point about the greed of the big oil conspiracy in the process.
