my phone n95 has a problem... when i record a movie or i'[m taking a picture appears like a shadow spot on the screen. I put the video on pc to watch it and the shadow spot was still there...so now i know that is on the cmarea or on the lens. could somebody help me? my lens are not scratch or something...perfectly clean. thanks

Using the external mic with the AV cables works, but it's less optimal. I'd prefer if the jack on the cellphone supported "standard" plugs, so you could plug in just the mic, and skip the AV cables and adaptors.
The Nokia dt-22 tripod adaptor also works, but just barely. The clamps are so wide and the buttons on the N95 so many, that you're always covering a button you need. Just give us a tripod hole, like a real camera. or something better... Please!

They do have external mic support. You use the av cable. Like he described in the video.

The sound quality is bad on the Nokia phones. Yup they need to add external microphone support or just improve the microphone quality.
You should look into the Samsung i8910, Omnia HD. It records in high def (720p) and has a wide angle lens. The only downside is that the sound quality is pretty poor for capturing.

What's the quality of hte video on the Omnia? I heard it's 24fps instead of 30fps.
