I made this video to demo my new Dixon low D polymer whistle. I couldn't resist the sound of the reverb in the stairwell. I played a little Whiskey Before Breakfast, Farewell to Whiskey, and Foggy Dew.

Random side note: I'd packed my overnight bag but forgotten it before I left. So, I had to pick up some new clothes while I was out and decided to get something that I wouldn't normally wear. Hence, the Brojisan. Also, pardon the dance. (I also needed to shave)

Filmed in a stairwell in Moore Hall at University of Evansville. (Even though I called it Brentano the first time)

Thanks to @kirakirastudio for holding the camera!

think i'll buy one sounds great!, cheers from bonnie scotland

  • @mzzphit Hi, the tunes played are in the description. I can't particularly endorse this instrument because it is so quiet that it is useless in a session setting.

  • Keep the camera still!

  • I've seen the one-piece tapered Dixon low D on sale for 30% less than the tuneable one. Any idea if it's worth paying extra for tuneable version?

  • Cool story, Broji-san

  • Hardly anybody does anything this awesome at USI.. good to see you UE folks keeping Evansville classy. ;)

If you're in Evansville, you should definitely come and play in our session down at Ri Ra Irish Pub, every Thursday, 6-8 PM.
