at the end of this extra scene the tv is supposed to go to static as if they had cut the lines you were using to watch the film
-
Maybe the director just wanted to have his George Lucas moment.
-
@gab3alex The point is not that they "foresee" what Handerberg was gonna do. He clearly tells them in advance with this ending, and allows them to use his boat for their plans.

elated thats the song

@CheeseBubbles It's the same as this ending except it stops at 0:30. Just shorter.
-
@CRUSHBOY11491 I thought that man had a blue boat? Because when Jan and the girl are sneaking around his yard, the hull definitely looks blue. Unless he had multiple boats.
-
@xwgrace Well, it's not actually like there are two alternative endings. There is a short ending and a long ending. The short ending excludes everything after 0:30 in this clip. But the long ending includes everything the short ending has. So the one you saw one youtube must have been the long ending rather than both.
Jan says: We're at the Eastern side of the isle, just about here... One stays in the boat, two cut the ropes that fixate the antenna towers. A bit later all 13 ASTRA satellites should be disrupted. TV transmissions all over Europe will black out.
