she was awarded another scholarship this year to camp. She beat over 20 boys to win the contest by singing Paramore and playing I Caught Myself. i'll post this years video in July

In Dallas?
I have doubts.
I know the director of this years Camp Jam, and I think she would have mentioned her.
She has absolutely NO stage presence, she just stands there...
Her voice was pitchy, and at at times, was very breathy.
I'll see her this year, and she can say it to my face, MAYBE, then, I'll believe it.

Well she did win the contest and she will be there (see her winning video). She was 11 when this video was taken and this was her first performance of this type. You're right, her stage pressence needs work, I appreciate your advice as does my niece as I shared these comments with her. However, before passing judgement please note that 99% of individuals cannot sustain perfect pitch with distored guitar and no monitors.

She might possibly get to places, but unless she knows how to play any instruments, she has absolutely nothing to offer the music industry except a 14 year old caught in the moment. I know, it's brutal, but true.
I've seen it happen before, and it's not a pretty sight.

She is now 12 has learned the guitar, bass in 2 months and is learning the viola. I know what it takes to make it in the music industry, I've also experienced the music industry from the ground to the top (LA to NY) i know what it takes to make it and unfortauntely attitude is one of them. We are taking your comments as constructive critism and utilizing them to get better. Good luck to you in all you do!
