Scott Williams performs and teaches hammered dulcimer, and has a number of CDs of his music available. Here he is at the November 2008 Renaissance Faire in Escondido, California. He can be booked for private/corporate parties, weddings, etc., and can be contacted at music@scottdulcimer.com, and http://www.scottdulcimer.com. • How do I contact Scott Williams personally.. I NEED a HUGE favor. inkybell

  • Hmm... I listed his web sites there in the description... did you try e-mail addresses from those? That's all I have. Good luck asking a favor, he told me he is no longer booking weddings.

  • What is he using for the drone? Who is playing the second part, or is that all prerecorded?

  • He had recorded his own backing music, playing on a CD in his tent for backup.

  • no im not bu thats ok. mabye next time i go. sorry didnt mean to seem so harsh but i was just looking forward to being in the video. Im looking for a hammered dulcimer teacher in san deigo. Do you know of any?

  • I don't know of any Hammered Dulcimer teachers in San Diego, but there are probably a few (perhaps try the Junior colleges in the music department? Guitar teachers may know of some.) Scott Williams teaches, but he's moved up to L.A. area. Good luck! It's a gorgeous sounding instrument.

  • I discovered his great music quite accidentally while walking in the bookstore in Santa Barbara. After being excited I bought his two CD's which I listen very often. It is a Pure Relaxation in Time !

  • @musiclandify look up the Dusty Strings company. They run a tad expensive but this wonderful instrument is worth the cost.

  • Nice rendition. That tune is called "The Gael", by Dougie Maclean.

  • scott williams is really quite talented. i live in vegas and i've seen him at the ren fair here a couple of times, i would always look for his booth first just so i could listen to his music to get that medieval feeling going on. this is one of my favorite songs of course :) i even bought one of his first cd's, or at least i think it was his first: The Road To Lisdunvarna. <--something to that effect haha. anyways, great stuff. i miss the ren fair.

  • Saw him over at Disney Downtown today and he played this song. It was so enchanting!! I really like this song he played. :)

  • @musiclandify -you can buy the ham. dulcimer from master works, or james jones inst., or you can also go on ebay and look-they cost anywhere from 600/700/1000--this does not always include the hammers or music stand-you will also need a tuner & the wrench for tuning

  • really amazing!

please, could you say me where can I bought this intstrument and how much does it cost?

    thank you very much

  • i saw him at disneydowntown..and he is sooo amazing...
