  • Thank you for giving me an informed discussion about the Lottery. I would not be getting an A if it were not for you. You have been a God sent. I am a online student and they do not go into details about any books they suggest we read. I found your lectures and I have a better understanding.

    Thank you so very much

  • @niasg1 Thank you for the kind note. I am glad to know that the videos are helpful. Best of luck in your studies!

  • You are a great professor! I love literature, however the university I am at now does not focus on detail in literature. I'm majoring in Hospitality, but would love to major in (British) Literature if you were my professor. Thank you for sharing your wonderful knowledge!

  • you totally helped me alot!!! thanks!!!

  • Great lecture! I have a group project for my Eng1002 course this quarter and these lecture videos will give my group a great ideas for were/how to lead our discussion/presentation. We are planning to hold a mock lottery (complete with foam rocks!) to get the attention of the class and then lead them through a discussion on plot, character, symbolism, language, imagery, and theme. I also plan to make a point of an allegory, something we havent yet covered in class but I found interesting.
