THis is one of the first leather covered journals I made. I used eyelets one the spine and kept it simple. I started working in it around 2002 and last wrote in it around 2005. THe leather was an leather jacket that I bought at a salvage store specifically to cut apart. I made a lot of journals like this.
The journal has some notes on book binding and sketches for projects that never got off the ground or partially got off the ground. It's not the most personal journal I've ever written in but it shows some of my process. I tends to be pretty cerebral about my work before i ever put scissors to leather.
IT also has a lot of notes about the summer I had off from a regular job, I worked a group home for 20 hours a week and it was a wonderful lazy summer, sure wish I could afford to do that again!

Wow, You;ve got some powerful art and words in that journal. Keep it. The first drawing that was in the book looked sort of like the album cover for Portgual the Man
