It’s obviously that African Americans do NOT know their History such as that the Republicans fought the Democrats to free them from slavery. They also must not know that several Democrats past and present were in the KKK & are Racist. They do not know that they are only being used. The Dems do not give a crap about them! Today’s Democrats use the same nefarious tactic except that the pay now comes in the form of government entitlements.

I referred to the Black Codes and Andrew Johnson and it is apparent you missed the post or chose to ignore it,,,the radical Republicans were thwarted by the Dems and Andrew Johnson who wanted to continue Lincoln's softening on the South ...as for me, I spent many years with my family at Ft Bragg, NC , Ft Sill Oklahoma and Ft Benning GA. Nope, not the Russians...My Comrades were mostly Army with a few Air Force Pilots thrown into the mix ....When I got finished with my two tours as a Drill Sgt and a few in the SE Aisian theater I was reclassified after 13 years as a gunslinger into a logistics guy in Europe and then at Ft Bragg, N.C., with 18th ABN Corps.. a total of 32 years of proud service to this nation...Whining ? LOL!!! Have you been there ? Know all of the details ? I do...Glad to see you are back on point.

The Dixiecrats were democrats. The democrats were the KKK. You can call them by any name you want, but that won't change the fact that they were and still are democrats. The second most lynched group in the South after blacks, were the republicans. They weren't lynching themselves, the democrats were lynching blacks and republicans. For someone who thinks he knows something about Southern history, you sure leave out the most important parts. Maybe YOU ought to spend more time IN the South.

My father was a Marine drill sergeant he fought in WWII, Korean War, the little firefights they sent the Marines to since those wars, up to and including two tours in Viet Nam. Being a drill sergeant, he knew what the rules were. But he also knew that people upstairs did not know everything. Sometimes they were wrong and if you have to protect your men, you have to improvise. LTC. West got the information he needed for his men. So stop whining.

By the way, In 1972 the Affirmative action Plan had to be instituted because our nation as a whole would not respect the Civil Rights act and still does not...you can witness sniveling from all corners of the U.S. because the blacks that survived the excessive cargo dumping during storms over the Atlantic had the nerve to actualyl after a time, expect equal treatment...neither party has been stringent in protection of equal rights.

Hello,hello ? Dixiecrats..... they stayed with the party and the others moved,,,MLK, Nathan Wright JR. (his mentor in Boston ), were Republicans as were most of the folks in our area..LBJ pushed the Act through....there are 100 Senators in Congress and we know that the ones you mention did not prevail, so what is your point ?
