After the fallen of Roman Empire, for almost three centuries there hasn't been a proper organized form of government. Southern Italy was under Bizantyum dominion from the Gothic War (535) up to 1000. The only places where the conquerors succeded in imposing their language

  • My parents are calabrese from the province of Vibo. Although their dialect is Calabrian, it shares much in common with Greek. Don't forget that all of central and southern Calabrian was predominately Greek speaking until the 15th century. MAGNA GRECIA RULES!!!
