Here it is guys, MY FIRST JUMPING LESSON! I thought I did pretty well, considering it was only my second time in an english saddle! SOOO... my horse was a butthead. He's a thoroughbred called Levi. He wouldn't fricken turn! And he was so hard to keep going. That's why one of the cantering clips were very short-lived. He would always start then stop. I guess I shouldn't be mad at him, because he's only been here for a few weeks, so fairly recent.

I know I need to keep a deep seat when I'm cantering, and I need to stay in two-point longer over the crossrail, but I'll get those! My next lesson is THIS Wednesday!

  • good job!

  • i know this was four years ago.. but maybe the reason he was stoping and starting in the canter was because you weren't following with your arms. Whenever he took a canter stride you were pulling on his mouth so he stopped. Just saying :)

  • @Berry2nd its not scary, dw, you just hav to sit there lol and turn. i ride english all the time and its fine, giv it a go x

  • anybody else see the horse buck at 0:33?

  • is this in california ????? because if it is i might join

  • Make sure your toes are not pointing outwards . :)

  • @Berry2nd No, cantering english isn't scary at all. As long as you can trot nicely and that you can keep your horse under control, everything goes smooth

  • Good job! I remember the first time I jumped! I don't take lessons, so It was all on my own. And my arab horse! He's 22, o teaching him to jump was pretty ahmazing.
