Holy crap people calm down. Here, let me explain. HAARP is used for research, but yes it is a military DEFENSE devise as well. ICBM's, Inter Continental Ballistic Missiles (long range nukes) must first launch into space, orbit above it's target, and drop. If we detect an ICBM launch, HAARP sends a freq into the atmosphere where the missile is dropping, it charges the atoms in the atmosphere and fry's the electronics of the nuke making it a heavy useless heap.
