On our 2009 trip we decided to stay in a condo right on the beach between the Marriot (which we loved in 2008) and the Atlantic Beach Hotel (which still needs alot of work). the views were great and the location couldn't be better, but the Stella Marris doesn't have a backup generator like the hotels and was without power and water repeatedly during our trip.

I know what you mean. It sucks being without power or water when everyone else has it. It was like that several times throughout our stay at Stella Maris as well.
