  • that doesn't make much sense to me. Why pair AC locos, with DC geeps? you're just wasting the SD70MACs adhesion capabilities... but anyways, very nice video! I still love the sound of the 645!

  • No we dont perfer it that way. Normally the GP would have been in trail. First time Ive seen taht was here. So who was that poser engineer anyway?

  • I dont think jeeps can pull better than 110klb tractive effort or dynamic 99klb braking... I've tested them from the factory in a tugging match.....

  • forget that new sheeit ,ill take geeps or some sd40s over that new move the throttle and wait 4rth gen stuff anyday.and sd40 pull better!!!!!!!

  • probably new engines coming out of Whittier off the barge.

  • Those GPs are pretty, love the paint

  • I think that freight came from Whittier. The MACs are not allowed to the switching of the cars from the barge. So the older GPs do the switching and the Big MACs help them home.

  • Interesting how the older unit is on the head end. Do the crews prefer it that way, or did they just get stuck with it? I'm thinking if they were doing a lot of switching, they might prefer a control stand to a desktop console, assuming the newer units are equipped with the latter option.
